Resumption of activities from October 20

The Consulate General of Algeria in New York announces the resumption of its activities from October 20.

“In accordance with the guidelines given by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the health authorities of the State of New York to prevent and reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Consulate General of Algeria in New York is pleased to inform all Algerian nationals residing in consular jurisdiction (44 States), the summary of its consular services by appointment only from October 20, 2020 ”, indicates the Consulate in a press release published on its facebook page.

The Algerian Consulate in New York specifies that no access to the Consulate General is allowed without an appointment; Applicants with a confirmed appointment must bring all required documents (forms must be completed in advance) for each service requested and must be present without company (no children or family members) and children of children under 12 are not required to be present when applying for or renewing the biometric passport.

Also the Consulate requires the wearing of the mask and the practice of social distancing; “laissez-passer” travel documents are suspended until further notice and in the event of an urgent visa, applications can be sent only by post.
