The prefect of Olt county, Florin Homorean, announced that from Saturday restrictions are imposed in two communes in the county where the incidence of Covid cases has increased.
“Today, after more than two months, we have established restrictive measures for some activities and events in two localities in our county: Ianca and Șopârlița”, Florin Homorean announced on Facebook, informs Mediafax.
According to him, in Ianca commune, starting with Saturday, for a period of 14 days, it is forbidden to organize and hold rallies, demonstrations, processions, concerts or other types of meetings in open spaces, as well as cultural, scientific, artistic activities, sports or entertainment in closed or open spaces, including the organization of private events (weddings, baptisms, festive meals, etc.).
“In the commune of Șopârlița, starting today and for a period of 14 days, participation in the activities and events mentioned above is limited,” said the prefect.
According to the prefect, these measures are necessary as the incidence of COVID-19 cases increases every day. According to the information published on the DSP Olt website, on Saturday, in Ianca commune, the cumulative incidence was 3.19 per thousand inhabitants, and in Șopârlița 2.58.
Florin Homorean called for responsibility and involvement: “Vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus contributes to the protection of our health and those around us. Vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 is an easy and safe process. ”
