The Marne firefighters who received nearly 400 calls and intervened a hundred times from 10:30 p.m., mainly in Reims.

A house was also struck by lightning and caught fire in Bazancourt in the Marne.

Hail and uprooted trees

In Limousin, the interventions took place around fifty times.

Hail also fell over part of the Creuse in the Aubusson sector Friday evening. There was no damage reported, but the firefighters intervened fifteen times at night for degraded roofs and flooded cellars.

In the Berry as well, a powerful gust and large hailstones have fallen.

Southern Aquitaine was particularly affected during the night. The firefighters of Haute-Garonne intervened fifty times, for falling trees and water infiltration. In Tarn-et-Garonne, firefighters received some 400 calls.

In Alsace, the firefighters intervened fifty times in the sectors of Molsheim, Marmoutier and Saverne. A vegetable farm near Pfaffenhoffen, north of Strasbourg, has seen much of its salad crop destroyed after the hailstorm.

Twenty departments in the Center and the South-West were placed in orange alert to thunderstorms by Météo France. No more departments are on orange alert, according to the last bulletin.
