Facebook and Twitter suspended the account of Trump, who for months has not stopped discrediting the electoral process and accusing without evidence the Democrats of having “stolen the election” for the US presidency.
To justify their decision, the two networks referred in particular to the risks of future violence, from here to the inauguration ceremony of US President-elect Joe Biden.
The decision of the social network was received with certain reservations, even by some European leaders, such as Angela Merkel, who considers this decision “problematic”, since it shows the omnipotence of the platforms in terms of freedom of expression.
