Residents did not adhere to the fourth vaccine against covid-19

The Minister of Health stresses that the authorities recommend the fourth dose to all people over 60 years old.

The second booster vaccine against covid-19 did not meet the expectations expected by the Ministry of Health, among the population.

Only about 16,000 people aged over 80 adhered to the second booster vaccine, which represents a vaccination rate of 63%. These data were advanced by the Minister of Health, Paulette Lenert, in a parliamentary response.

Between the ages of 70 and 80, about 21,000 people wanted to be inoculated with the second booster vaccine, which represents half of the people initially targeted.

In age groups below 60 years, the vaccination rate with the fourth dose of the vaccine drops to less than 10%.

The Minister of Health stresses that the authorities recommend the fourth dose to all people over 60 years old, and from 12 years old for vulnerable people.
