Netflix has just confirmed the preparation of the next series, which should be of particular interest to players. The platform reaches for “Resident Evil” and intends to offer viewers a live-action story.

In February 2020, I informed our readers about the first details of the series “Resident Evil”. The platform has not confirmed the development of the series for months, but we have just received the details. A full-fledged story with actors is coming.
Netflix has decided to present the story of Wesker children who will go to “New Raccoon City”. As you can see below, the script will be prepared by Andrew Dabb, who for years worked on the series “Out of this world”. Bronwen Hughes will be responsible for directing – previously she worked on such series as “The Walking Dead”, “Call Saul”, “Thirteen Reasons”, but usually developed 1-2 episodes.
The first season will see eight episodes, each lasting approximately one hour. It is worth noting that Constantin Film will be involved in the development of the series – this company has already appeared in the leak at the beginning of the year.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Netflix has been looking for a suitable showrunner for months. Only Andrew Dabb became one of the creators and he will start working on the project after the end of “Supernatural” – The CW had to stop working on the last season due to the situation in the world.

The series will present the events in two timelines – in the first, 14-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker move to New Raccoon City. The longer the girls stay in this place, they begin to understand that the city hides many secrets, just like their father – it is these secrets that can destroy the world. The second timeline will take viewers over 10 years into the future, when less than 15 million people are left on Earth and more than 6 billion are infected. Jade will become the main character and at the age of 30 she will fight to survive in a difficult world, but her future will continue to haunt her.
