Request for a briefing in Parliament regarding the incident of Muhammad Ramadan and Al-Tayyar

Representative Enas Abdel Halim, a member of the House of Representatives, asked for a briefing on the incident of the artist Mohammed Ramadan and the pilot Ashraf Abu Al-Yusr, and to exploit the media platforms in a way that causes harm to the Egyptian aviation and its reputation internationally.

A member of Parliament explained that last October, actor Mohamed Ramadan, through his account on the “Instagram” application, published a video that shows that he is driving one of the aircraft during take-off, where Mohamed Ramadan from the private passenger seat announced his orientation to the plane’s command room and that he will drive it, where it appears Pilot Ashraf Abu Al-Yusr, and the special seat was emptied to him after he issued orders to the assistant pilot to leave his seat so that “Ramadan” will fly the plane and announce through the internal loudspeaker of the plane that he is driving the plane.

“After closing the case and investigating the pilot and his permits, the skirmishes between the artist Mohammed Ramadan and the pilot Ashraf Abu Al-Yusr returned, which represented a kind of damage to the reputation of the Egyptian airlines,” said Deputy Enas Abdel Halim.

And she continued: “The artist, Mohamed Ramadan, performed civil aviation without obtaining a permit to do so, and he damaged the country’s reputation abroad by showing the Egyptian state the image of the country that underestimates its passengers, damaging the reputation of the Egyptian civil aviation.”

Enas Abdel Halim continued: “What is affected by this battle is the reputation of the Egyptian aviation, which is affected by these skirmishes, and now both sides are using media platforms to promote their defense against each other, taking advantage of the Egyptian media and newspapers through videos that are in conflict with each other, which negatively affects Our air fleet. “

And she asked the member of parliament to stop broadcasting such videos, and a decision must be issued by the Minister of Information regarding banning newspapers and media dealing with this issue, as it affects the reputation of Egyptian international aviation.
