Jiříček, who made his national team debut last November, received a penalty from the disciplinary for two matches for hitting the head and neck of Olomouc forward Jakub Navrátil in the preliminary round of the playoffs. He did not intervene in the third duel of the series, after which the season ended in Pilsen, so the rest of the penalty was to be transferred to the next one.
However, after half of the sentence, the Pilsen leadership turned to the disciplinary commission with a request to pardon the rest.
