The Pakistani Minister of Health stated, on Sunday, that a case had been filed against two fugitive suppliers of the locally manufactured injection known as “Avastin.”
The Punjab government formed a committee of 5 experts to look into the matter and submit a report within 3 days.
The Minister of Health in Punjab Province, Jamal Nasir, said that diabetic patients in Lahore, Kasur and other areas are receiving Avastin injections to treat retinal damage.
The injection of the drug led to serious inflammation, which ultimately caused the loss of vision for dozens of patients.
