reopening of the five Dijon Métropole waste collection centers on Monday

On April 21 the mayor of Dijon announced the gradual reopening of the city’s recycling centers to individuals. It’s official, to the delight of gardeners and sorting fans: five recycling centers in the Dijon metropolitan area will reopen this Monday, April 27, after more than a month of closure due to containment. Access will be at the usual times, depending on your license plate.

Access conditions for residents of the Dijon metropolitan area

In order to streamline deposits and limit the number of users on the sites, an access system is set up, just refer to your license plate:

  • If the number on your plate is even, you can access the recycling center on even days.
  • If the number on your plate is odd, you can access the recycling center on odd days.

Examples from fictitious license plates:

  • New plates: Vehicle A: ZZ-235-ZZ. Vehicle B: LM-772-AB
  • Old plaques : Vehicle C: 123 SK 21. Vehicle D: 452 F

The ” 27 »Of the month (odd day), only vehicles A and C have the right to go to recycling centers in mainland France. The next day, the ” 28 “Of the month, the reverse is true: cars B and D will be able to access the city’s recycling centers.

In the first instance, to facilitate the tasks of reception agents, utility vehicles, as well as vehicles over 1.5 meters, will not be accepted in the recycling centers.

Rules and advice to respect from the metropolis

  • Only go to recycling centers if necessary
  • Bring the derogatory travel certificate, taking care to check the “travel to make purchases of supplies necessary for the professional activity and purchases of basic necessities”.
  • No more than 2 people per vehicle
  • Wearing a mask and gloves recommended
  • Maintaining a safety distance of at least 1.5 meters with reception staff and other users
  • Filtering and access control will be carried out at the entrance of each recycling center
  • Do not linger on the site
  • Reception staff will not be able to help carry the waste
  • Respect the instructions given on site

  • Dijon recycling center : Chemin de la Charmette (access from Alexander Fleming street). Open Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., non-stop Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed Friday, May 1, statutory holiday.
  • Quetigny recycling center : Boulevard de la Croix Saint-Martin (near the family gardens). Open Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed Friday May 1st.
  • Longvic recycling center : Rue Jules Guesde (near the Dijon-Longvic wastewater treatment plant). Open Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., non-stop Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed Friday, May 1, statutory holiday.
  • Chenôve recycling center : Rue de Longvic (behind the Géants shopping area). Open Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., non-stop Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed Friday, May 1, statutory holiday.
    Marsannay-la-Côte recycling center : Chemin rural n ° 15, dit chemin aux vaches. Open Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., non-stop Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed Friday, May 1, statutory holiday.
