Renovations and Unpaid Bills: The Future of Rathaus-Galerie Hagen

Hagen.
The Rathaus-Galerie Hagen can be fully renovated. Thanks to a loan, orders can be placed. But what about old bills?

There can be no talk of the Rathaus-Galerie Hagen being saved. The vacancy rate is dramatically high, and the mood among shop owners who have stuck by is at its lowest point.

But the news that craftsmen can now not only be commissioned to complete the renovation, but that their outstanding bills will also be paid promptly, gives hope.

Bankruptcy law must be accepted

The fact that those craftsmen who have been waiting for their money for their long-executed work for months are still looking down the drain is hard for the public to understand, but it is anchored in insolvency law.

In any case, one thing is certain: customers will only return if the remaining work is carried out quickly and the arcade soon presents itself as a normal shopping center again and not as a high-security wing with emergency lighting.

Please no ruins

And if the provisional – now “strong” – insolvency administrator, as it seems, allows prospective tenants to talk to him about the lease amount, the Rathaus-Galerie could (perhaps) recover and not become a ruin.
