The announcements of positive cases of Covid-19 are multiplying this Friday in Ligue 1 clubs. After Nice, Angers, Lens, Monaco, Marseille, Brest and Nîmes, it is Rennes’ turn to confirm the contamination of a player of the professional workforce.
“As soon as the results were learned, the player concerned was isolated and placed in a fortnight. He does not present any symptoms”, indicates the Breton club in a press release, which specifies that no “other player, staff member or employee administrative staff close to the group only tested positive during the test carried out this Friday.
Rennes starts its championship on Saturday (9 p.m.) with a trip to Lille.
