In the summer, the wife of the former boxer publicly announced how her husband was doing and that he was suffering from degenerative brain disease.

But his condition is getting worse and worse. Even though René Weller had often not found his way home after going for walks before, he was probably losing more and more, says Maria. Nevertheless, she continues to take care of the native of Pforzheim.

“René starts shadow boxing at night in bed without noticing it. When I call, he interrupts every second. He can no longer find his bed alone, forgets to drink and eat,” said the 64-year-old.
He is also looking for the recently deceased dog. The fact that she is dead often surprises him. “He forgot it.”
No matter how strong she wants to be for her husband, the situation also works in her as a matter of course.
