WITHwalk, so it could be called the urban SUV that will arrive at Renault next year. The future urban SUV ZE (zero emissions) of the French automaker, will be the size between a Zoe and a Renault Captur and will have a range of between 300 and 500 km, depending on the capacity of the batteries used. In this way, the range of Renault electric vehicles would be completed, along with Twizy, ZOE and Kangoo.
By using the new CMF-EV platform to be used for the brand’s future electric models, Renault is considering increasing the number of ‘zero emission’ cars. This platform has the particularity that it can receive extra flat batteries, being able to be placed in the low position on the floor. In this way, it is not only possible to have a better interior space but also to lower the center of gravity so as to give the vehicle better stability.
The new electric SUV would be around 4.20 m long offering a habitability similar to that of the Renault Captur (the Captur in France is shorter than in Argentina) This model will surely become the direct competitor of the Peugeot e-2008.
The Renault Zandar would arrive in 2021, but also the French brand would present in 2022 an SUV the size of the Renault Kadjar within the compact electric SUV segment. In addition, the brand would also consider a larger model, with seven seats, and thus complete all segments of electric SUVs.
These zero emission vehicles from Renault would be manufactured at the plant that owns the brand in Douai, France.
