Renault reveals its new Trafic produced at the Sandouville plant, near Le Havre

It will only be marketed from March 2021 after a full presentation made at the start of the year. However, Renault has just unveiled the first images of phase II of its Trafic utility vehicle.

On the exclusive shots of this new evolution, the grille is much more expressive, taking the vehicle a little further away from the image of the artisan van born in 1980. It is a trend at Renault as with the competition, manufacturers always attribute more codes and harmonies specific to the car of mister everyone.

« Renault Trafic celebrates its 40th anniversary years, with more than two million copies sold in fifty countries. This is the opportunity to renew it with an assertive design, driving aids for greater safety and a wider range of engines. [deux nouveaux dCi 150 et 110 qui rejoignent l’actuel dCi 170]. They are definitely part of the world of private vehicles », notes Mark Sutcliffe, Alliance director of the commercial vehicle division.

In the cockpit, same bet. The shift approached during phase I of the third generation Traffic is confirmed. There remains a question. Will this van be offered in an electric version? Renault’s first communication does not announce it. However, during the presentation to the press of phase I of this same third generation, in July 2019, Arnaud Jaëger, Alliance director of the vans programs, affirmed: « We have announced that we will electrify the entire utility vehicle lineup by 2022. » Kangoo and Master already wear the ZE Like Zero Emission logo.
