Renault reduced sales by 30 percent after leaving the Russian market

If the figures from activities in the largest Russian automobile company AvtoVAZ and in the Russian division of Renault were not included in the result, the year-on-year decrease would amount to 12 percent. The company attributed it to problems with the supply of semiconductors.

Renault produces, among others, popular models such as Dacia Duster and Renault Clio. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he ended his activities in Russia and announced that he would sell Renault Russia and his 67.69 percent stake in AvtoVAZ.

In May, Renault announced that it would sell AvtoVAZ, which owns the Lada brand, to a Russian scientific institute. According to Reuters, he allegedly sold the company for just one ruble with a six-year option to buy it back.
