Remembering Émile Morel: Ubisoft Creative Director Dies Suddenly at 40

Employees from Ubisoft reported on the death of Émile Morel. He has been with the company since 2009 and has worked on many games. The last thing he worked on was Beyond Good and Evil 2. Emil acted as the creative director of the title.

The man was exactly 40 years old. From what he died is unknown. Ubisoft does not expand on this. The company has not even given an official comment on its own behalf.

Colleagues spoke of Emil very warmly. They noted that Morel loves his job very much, and he is especially proud that Ubisoft took on Beyond Good and Evil 2.

As for the game itself, Beyond Good and Evil 2 was revealed in 2017 at E3. In February 2022, it became known that the game was still in pre-production.
