Remembering Eddie Skoller: Danish Artist and Comedian (1944-2023) | Tribute to a Musical Legacy

Artist and comedian Eddie Skoller (79) has died

The Danish musician, comedian and entertainer Eddie Skoller (79) has died after a long illness. The family informs the Ritzau news agency that he fell asleep quietly with his loved ones present at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

Skoller was married to Sissel Kyrkjebø from 1993 to 2004 and has two daughters with the Norwegian artist. Skoller was born in the United States, but moved to Denmark when he was five years old.

Among other things, he is known for songs such as “In the Mediterranean the sardine swims”, “What Did You Learn In School Today” and “En Enkel Sang Om Frihed”.

In the picture, he is photographed during a performance at Chat Noir in Oslo in 1991.

Skoller is survived by five children and his wife Dorrit Elmquist.
