Reinis Nitišs will start ‘Rally Liepāja’

Reinis Nitišs from Jēkabpils, who this year will focus on a full-fledged rally program, will start the FIA ​​European Rally Championship stage “Rally Liepāja” for the fifth time in his career as a motorist.

Reinis Nitišs and co-driver Andris Mālnieks will enter the start of “Rally Liepāja” with a front-wheel drive “Ford Fiesta Rally4”, competing in both Latvian and European championships.

” Changing the focus from rallycross to rally is a gradual process, and over the course of the season we have been able to step up step by step and reduce the speed deficit against the leading riders. “Rally Liepāja” will be a challenging, fast and demanding rally. We will prepare for it with additional driving training, track recording training, and physical fitness, because in two days you have to cover 180 km in sports mode – almost twice as much as in other national level rallies. ”

This season, Reinis Nitišs has played two winter rallies in Finland, as well as one ground rally in Estonia and Lithuania. ” ” ‘Rally Liepāja’ ‘stages are very changeable and complicated. It requires precise work both in compiling the transcript and in reading and executing it, ”says the crew co-pilot Andris Mālnieks. “The key to a good result is the crew’s cooperation and smooth performance throughout the rally.”

Rally Liepāja will take place from August 14 to 16 in Talsi and Liepāja area.
