This Saturday, April 15, a regional mobilization was organized in Rennes. It is a question of setting dates in addition to the tempo of the union leaders, to amplify the balance of power and not to release the pressure, while the government would like, in his words, to “move on to something else”.
Thousands of people gathered in the streets. Several hours of rioting took place, with capitalist signs being targeted, vehicles set on fire and barricades. Several processions sowed the forces of order and there was something for everyone: a laughing caterpillar even improvised in front of a water cannon in the heart of the city. The CRS8, an elite unit already deployed in Nantes in recent months, was called in as reinforcements and attacked violently at the end of the afternoon. Several people were arrested and injured.
This is just the beginning.
