Refund due to Corona: money back from car insurance – consumers

The corona crisis could mean that insured persons can now get money back from their car insurance. Because many people worked in the home office, the number of traffic accidents has fallen significantly, said the Federal Statistical Office. From March to the end of June there were 670,000 accidents, 26 percent fewer than in the same period last year. If the damage remains cheap until the end of the year, Huk Coburg promises to let its customers participate financially in possible cost savings – “From the current perspective, this will be significant from the company’s point of view,” said a spokeswoman for Tagesspiegel. The Huk is currently assuming around five percent lower claims expenditure than usual.
