EINDHOVEN – A traffic jam of at least 50 cars was waiting on Monday evening to refuel at DCB Energy at the Flight Forum in Eindhoven. The reason: a liter of petrol cost only 1,449 euros.

In addition to the cheap petrol price, a liter of diesel cost only 1.109 at the pump at the Flight Forum. The average price for Euro 95 is EUR 2.056 per litre. Diesel is on average for 1,712 euros per litre.

Whether the liter price in Eindhoven is related to a malfunction or a major advertising stunt is still completely unclear. DCB’s security guard says it can’t say anything about the incident.

‘It’s a madhouse’
Around 11 p.m., reactions on social media showed that prices had skyrocketed again. The DCB gas station is open 24 hours a day. A passer-by said earlier this evening that it was very busy. “There are now about forty to fifty cars in traffic jams to be able to refuel. It’s a madhouse.”
