Reflecting on the Rapid Fade of Unforgettable Moments amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic

The Faccbook “Today of the Year” on July 20 reminded me that last year today, because a neighbor in our residential building was infected with the new crown, all residents had to go to the community center for a mandatory inspection. I took a photo at the Leighton Hill Testing Center in Happy Valley that day.

When I saw that photo, it was like watching a distant story. I never thought that it was just what happened 365 days ago. It can be seen that the so-called unforgettable things will not stand the washing of time, and will gradually fade away, but it is a little surprised that it fades so quickly.

COVID-19 testing used to be such a familiar thing, and it is an action that many people have to do every day. If you don’t do this action, it seems that the day will not pass. During those three years, this has formed a living habit, and almost no one can escape it. For 3 years, the roots have been deeply rooted, and I think I will always remember it clearly, and it will always be in front of my eyes when I think about it. but. Just not.

Even now, every time I go out, I still suddenly feel a sense of relief because I don’t need to wear a mask, which seems to correspond to the days of the previous three years. But when I saw the forced inspection photo from last year and today, it seemed like a distant call, calling out a strange time and space, as if I don’t know how many years have passed.

Of course, this cannot be said to be a poor memory, but the rapidity of the times. Nowadays, there are too many new things, and the freshness period is too short, which cannot be chewed slowly. In a blink of an eye, it becomes an antique, as if it has been a lifetime, and it is only a year.
