Representatives of the banned in Russia organization “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People” will be in the forefront
According to the ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Refat Chubarov, on May 2, the Crimean Tatars will cross the border with the Russian peninsula in the area of the Chongar checkpoint. He made such a statement in an interview with the Ukrainian Fifth Channel.

Chubarov specified that representatives of the “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people” (organization is prohibited in the Russian Federation) will go in the front rows of the column. There will also be MPs and unnamed “Western partners.” However, he does not exclude the power scenario at the checkpoint.
Such a march through the Russian state border, according to Chubarov, will allow international organizations condemning the “annexation of Crimea” to confirm their statements with real actions. He noted that the Russian authorities ousted Crimean Tatars from the peninsula, threatening their existence.
The fact that Ukraine is preparing a walking march to the Crimea became known on December 6. The action was called “The World Against Violence and Occupation. March of Dignity. ” Chubarov then noted that foreign citizens would participate in the action, and the Mejlis would send an appeal to the UN, the European Parliament and The Hague, in which it would point out the problems of the Crimean Tatars.
