Red zone in Odessa – Gennady Trukhanov spoke about the readiness of hospitals

From Monday, October 18, Odessa, together with the entire region, is included in the “red” quarantine zone due to the peak incidence of the coronavirus COVID-19. The mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, spoke about the readiness to meet a new “wave” of the pandemic.

As he noted in Facebook, thanks to the presidential program “Big construction” a number of Odessa hospitals are provided with modern medical equipment. And the technical capabilities allow us to talk about the prospect of increasing the number of places in the wards, if the epidemiological situation requires it.

Trukhanov added that the main problem for the city is the lack of medical and support personnel. However, he is convinced that the correct approach and assistance from the country’s leadership will help overcome the new stage of the coronavirus.
