In a conversation recorded at the CBF headquarters on July 19, 2018 between the then coordinator of national teams, Edu Gaspar, and the then executive director of CBF management, Rogério Caboclo, the influence of Del Nero is evident.

At that time, Caboclo had already been elected president of the CBF, but would only take office once in April 2019, for a four-year term. Until he took over, the president of the CBF was Antonio Carlos Nunes, Colonel Nunes. In the conversation with Edu, in which they discuss the formation of the technical team of the Brazilian team, Caboclo says:

– I don’t make decisions alone. There is (Colonel) Nunes here (then acting president), there is Marco Polo.

Edu Gaspar also states that he talked to Marco Polo. He and Caboclo talk about making the then assistant of the selection Sylvinho the number 2 of Tite, replacing Cléber Xavier, always the closest assistant to Tite.

In another moment, Rogério Caboclo returns to say that “he does not make decisions alone” and speaks specifically about the punishment of Del Nero imposed by FIFA.

– Marco even has a good expectation of the trial he will have in court.

Wanted by give through CBF’s press office, Rogério Caboclo just repeated what he had said to ESPN: that he is not the author of the leaked recordings.

The disclosure of these conversations only increases the crisis at CBF, ongoing for at least a month, after an employee asked for sick leave and told people close to him that he had evidence of inappropriate behavior on the part of Rogério Caboclo.
