Record rush for climate education program – hamburg.de

Jens Kerstan, Senator for the Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture and member of the Supervisory Board of Hafen City GmbH (which also supports the program): “The high demand from education providers and schools shows how important the climate and the environment have become in teaching. The Wetter.Wasser.Waterkant is now known and established in Hamburg. Children and young people are showing an increasing interest in the topics of climate, environment and sustainability – and this is exactly what we want to achieve with the offers. Anyone who learns to appreciate and protect the environment early on will treat it with care. An understanding of climate interrelationships, sustainability and environmental cycles must be part of basic education. I hope for many more registrations and exciting learning days for young people. “
