The balance of the first 13 months
There have been 2,379 lucky winners so far in the Receipt Lottery, which has distributed prizes for almost 35 million euros (to be exact 34 million and 857 thousand euros). This is the balance sheet of the first 13 months of the game, launched in March 2021 by the government to add a tool to the fight against tax evasion. It did not go exactly as we hoped and that is why we are now trying to relaunch it. As you know, the Lottery distributes prizes every week and every month, to both buyers and merchants, and now something could change on this aspect. Among the new measures that the government would like to implement to strengthen the fight against tax evasion there is also the intention to make instant Receipts Lottery winnings currently periodic, that is to allow the winners to know the prize at the time of purchase. All this with the aim of making the Lottery more attractive and thus reducing the enormous tax evasion associated with the non-issuance of receipts. The restyling of the Lottery had to be present in the draft of the dl Pnrr 2, but at the last no trace was found. But nothing decided yet.
