The summer holidays are now over in Baden-Württemberg and this marks the end of the most eventful and wonderful time of the year for the KSC football school. We look back on the last two weeks of the summer holidays.

In hot summer temperatures, the KSC football school held two football and goalkeeper camps around the BBBank Wildpark in the last two weeks of the holidays as well as further football camps at our partner clubs FV Knittlingen, VfB Gaggenau, VfB Bad Rappenau, FC07 Heidelsheim and SV Oberkirch. Before the boys and girls were allowed to prove their skills on the pitch, the kids were first provided with a brand new KSC jersey set from our official supplier Macron. As the camp continued, the beautiful jerseys were individually flocked with the kids’ desired back number and name.

The focus of the KSC trainers was not only on performance and results, but rather on conveying the fun and joy of football in a playful way. In order to provide further sporting stimuli outside of classic football training, the kids were confronted with coordination elements from the area of life kinetics. The participants in the goalkeeper camps received daily specialized training for goalkeepers. In addition, the children were introduced to and taught the topics of our value concept. After intensive and exciting training sessions, the kids were able to fortify themselves with snack breaks and a delicious lunch. At the Wildpark camps, the young KSC fans were even able to eat in the new “Fächerstadttreff” hospitality world and then take a look at the new west stand of the BBBank Wildpark. At our partner clubs, the clubs themselves provided a delicious lunch. A big thank you to our partner clubs!

During our professional technology test, the kids were able to collect individual points in addition to the team points from the daily tournaments. The young football enthusiasts had the opportunity to compare themselves with the values of a youth player from the KSC U10. Through targeted suggestions for improvement from the KSC coaches, the young football fans learned how they can further improve their technique. Of course, some of the professionals didn’t miss the opportunity to visit the camps and give the young KSC fans a special treat. Eren Öztürk (Bad Rappenau), Igor Matanović (Gaggenau), Tim Rossmann (Knittlingen), Marcel Beifus (Oberkirch) and Christoph Kobald (Heidelsheim) stopped by our partner clubs. Patrick Drewes and Robin Bormuth as well as Dženis Burnić and Philip Heise each visited the camps around the BBBank Wildpark in a double pack. As part of a large question and answer session, the kids were able to ask the professionals interesting questions. Afterwards, the stars were available to request autographs. The children who took part in the wildlife park camp from September 6th to 8th also had the pleasure of watching the KSC test match against Europa League participant SC Freiburg live up close in the Grenke Stadium.

After these wonderful visits from the professionals, everyone devoted themselves completely to playing football again, because after all, all the children wanted to be well prepared for the big final tournament. With the right football atmosphere, summery weather and great support from parents, grandparents and other relatives, the children were now able to apply what they had learned in the game. Before the final tournaments, kids had the opportunity to go through various football stations together with their parents as part of a parent-child course. At the wildlife park camps, our darts department ensured the physical well-being of all guests. Of course, the guests were also able to refresh themselves in the hot temperatures with delicious ice cream from POPICE. Each child was awarded a medal at the subsequent awards ceremony and the best kids in the tournaments received a trophy. In addition, all participants received an individual certificate for successfully completing the camp as well as a discount voucher for the new FanWorld in the BBBank Wildpark.

Overall, we can look back on an eventful, intensive and completely successful summer holiday program around the BBBank Wildpark and at our partner clubs. We are particularly proud of the enormous number of participants and the associated record number of over 2,500 registrations. After these great summer holidays, we as KSC would like to thank the children and parents, our main sponsor EnBW, the sleeve partner Cronimet, the supplier Macron, our partner BGV and our partner clubs. Without your support the camps would not be possible in this form.
