Reasons for KB Bukopin Employees Many ‘Resign’

Until the end of 2021, 1,400 employees of PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk compactly resigned or resign bulk. The reason is that the company has opened an ‘early retirement’ program that is offered to all company employees.

KB Bukopin Corporate Communication Tyas Hardi said about 30 percent of the total Bukopin KB employees participate in the company’s transformation program that targets human resources (human capital) company.

He claimed that program participation was voluntary and valid for all Bukopin KB employees throughout Indonesia.

“The company issued a voluntary program, no coercion, no direct appointment, open to all Bukopin employees,” he said when confirmed on Sunday (23/1).

He explained that the cuts were made in accordance with the vision of KB Bukopin’s core banking transformation after being acquired by KB Kookmin Bank, one of which was the transformation of technology into the New Generation Banking System (NGBS).

However, Tyas denied that the program was the impact of the company’s technology adoption.

Although he could not mention the exact number, Tyas ensured that his party gave all the rights of employees according to the rules. In fact, he continued, employees who voluntarily resign received more severance pay than government regulations.

In addition, he guarantees that former employees and their families can still enjoy health insurance facilities for the next 6 months.

He added that Bukopin KB also provides managerial skills training and other majors for employees who want to shift to other sectors.
