Realme will bring a 5G phone and smart tv this year

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Realme plans to bring a number of smart devices in the second half of 2020, starting from smartphone 5G up to the latest AIoT line (a combination of AI and IoT), smart tv.

“Many people ask when Realme will bring smartphone 5G. We will bring smartphone with 5G connectivity in Indonesia, “Realme Indonesia’s Marketing Director, Palson Yi, in a virtual conference on Friday.

In an effort to bring the 5G cellphone, Palson said that he had collaborated with the provider chipset and will collaborate with several stakeholder, like cellular service providers.

Besides, smart phones, Realme will also present the latest product categories from the AIoT line of devices, namely smart tv, which according to Palson also has the same philosophy as the smart phone line, which is to be a combination of trendsetting technology and trendsetting design.

“Realme will launch various AIoT products that will complement lifestyle young adult. One more AIoT sector, i.e. smart tv in the second semester of 2020, “said Palson.

Furthermore, Palson saw that the potential of internet-connected devices (IoT) in Indonesia was quite large, so that Realme dared to develop the AIoT ecosystem in Indonesia.

“We have become number 2 brand AIoT products at Shopee at the end of last June. This is our reason for continuing to produce AIoT products in Indonesia, “he said.

With the number of connected devices estimated to have exceeded 125 billion US dollars by the end of 2020 from nearly 27 billion in 2017, according to Palson, the current impact of IoT on consumer products has changed from hype come true.

“The AIoT device from Realme is one of our big visions until the end of the year. For the operating system, our RnD team is working hard to realize the best technology for our consumers,” said Palson.
