“Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes Dedicates Copa del Rey Win to Young Cancer Patient Ignacio”

Rodrygo Goes scored a brace in success Real Madrid become the champion of the Copa del Rey. Rodrygo after the match explained the meaning of his goal celebration.

The Copa del Rey final match between Real Madrid vs Osasuna took place at Estadio La Cartuja, Sunday (7/5/2023) in the morning WIB. Los Blancos won 2-1 through Rodrygo’s brace, which had previously been matched by Lucas Torro.

Rodrygo celebrated a goal by forming the letter “i” with his fingers. Speaking after the game to Marca, Rodrygo revealed the celebration was shown to Real Madrid youngster Ignacio, whom he met ahead of the Copa del Rey final.

“It was for Ignacio, the boy I visited this week in Juegaterapia, where there are children with cancer. He asked me to do ‘i’ if he scored, and it worked for him,” said Rodrygo.

Ignacio, who was only eight years old, had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It is a type of lymph node cancer.

During a visit to Juegaterapia, Rodrygo and Ignacio played FIFA 23 on PS5. That’s where the celebration comes from.
