Real Madrid – Benzema: “Unfortunately got PSG”
MADRID. It’s getting closer, the first hammer duel between Real Madrid and PSG in the round of 16 of the Champions League. On February 15, the two star ensembles meet in the Parc de Princes in the first leg before the decision is made on March 9 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
Already in the round of 16 on PSG to meet Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Ángel Di María Karim Benzema only too willingly avoided.
“We know that the games in the Champions League are always difficult. I would have liked it more to face another team. Unfortunately we got PSG”, said the 34-year-old Frenchman in an interview with TV channel TF1.
Duels because of Mbappé “all the more special”
Immediately after the draw, Benzema had expressed even more self-confidence. “We have to win all the games to try to win the Champions League. We know Paris are a great team, but so are we.”, said the goalscorer, who pitted his strength against the Ligue 1 club over his friendship with Mbappé “all the more special” finds: “We get along very well.”
