Great game in Madrid. For the third consecutive year the Real Madrid and Manchester City faces will be seen in one Champions League knockout. With one victory each, the last two champions of the tournament meet.
This Tuesday the defending champion and top tournament winner faces will be seen in Quarter finalsstarting with the match of First leg at the Santiago Bernabéu with a view to taking advantage and getting closer to a new championship.
This will be the fifth time that these two teams meet in a tie. Three times they have faced each other in Semifinals. The first of these was in the 2015-16 where Real Madrid won 1-0 globallyL. In the 21-22 Real Madrid reached the Final again by winning 6-5 overall while the Last season the English advanced 5-1.
The other matchup in the direct elimination phase was in the Round of 16 of the 2019-20 where the city dwellers won 4-2. Furthermore, in the 2012-13 they met in the Group Stage with a victory for the meringues and a draw.
Now both teams come to this Tuesday’s game with the hope of continuing to grow their chances of adding one more title in their history. The game, which will take place at 1:00 p.m. in central Mexico, can be followed through TNT Sports and streaming on HBO Max.
