Real Madrid secured the title in Spain’s LaLiga this Saturday. He did his part by beating Cádiz 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu and hours later he celebrated again when Barcelona fell 4-2 to Girona. In this way, with four dates remaining, he has already gained a 13-point difference over his second team, impossible to close.
Despite putting a team with a majority of substitutes, taking into account that the pass to the Champions League final vs. Bayern Munich, Real Madrid were too much for Mauricio Pellegrino’s team, which remains very complicated in the relegation zone. Barcelona lost an incredible match
The Catalans had to defeat Girona to stay alive in LaLiga and they did so 2-1. However, in 120 seconds their castle collapsed and the local team scored two goals to turn history around. Xavi’s men desperately tried to recover but found themselves with another goal from the local team to seal the 4-2 victory.
In this way, Barcelona not only handed the League title to Real Madrid on a plate, but also lost second place to Girona.
