Real Madrid’s Mariano Díaz tested positive for the coronavirus. The striker will lose the return match against Manchester City in the Champions League.

The club states that the striker is now isolated in his own home. They say that the players were tested yesterday, and Mariano should be symptom-free and in good shape. According to Spanish media, he did not attend today’s training. They write that the tip will now lose the important Champions League showdown.
Real Madrid will face Manchester City for a return leg in the Champions League on 7 August. The English lead 2-1 after the first match.
The match will be played in Manchester. Recently, the United Kingdom introduced a 14-day quarantine for everyone arriving in the country from Spain. Nevertheless, it was emphasized that the rule did not apply to athletes and teams, and thus the match could go as planned.
