RB Leipzig and BVB in the Europa League: That’s why football fans can look forward to it now!

All football fans have reason to be happy: RTL will be broadcasting some Europa League games live on free TV.

Borussia meet Glasgow Rangers at Signal Iduna Park at 6:45 p.m. The turf ballers are on the move a little later: Domenico Tedesco’s (36) team welcomes Real Sociedad San Sebastian to their home Red Bull Arena at 9 p.m.

Since it will probably not be clear by the beginning of next week how many spectators will ultimately be allowed to be there live in the stadium, both clubs are currently assuming that the respective football temples may be occupied at most by half.

When RB receives 1. FC Köln on Friday evening (8.30 p.m. / DAZN), only 15,000 spectators are allowed, for example.

Either way, many followers will only be able to enjoy the respective 90 minutes at home in front of the television. And with regard to the Europa League, a lot has changed there in recent years.

Because the games will not be like before for the most part DAZN transferred, but RTL was able to secure all free TV and pay TV rights for three years. However, this also has some advantages: The broadcaster shows the game of Saxony against the Spanish representative live on free TV.

Even supporters of the black and yellow get their money’s worth – at least partially. Because instead of a preliminary report on Leipzig’s performance, RTL will also show the final phase of Dortmund’s performance on free TV from 8:15 p.m. If you want to see the whole game, you have to use RTL + for a fee.

In the second leg a week later, the broadcaster may do the opposite. At least it seems clear that the game of the current second in the Bundesliga table will be on free TV.
