Real Madrid have lost the chance to regain the top of the Spanish football league, after losing their host, Rayo Vallecano 2-3, on Sunday evening, in the 13th phase of the competition.
Real Madrid’s record froze at 32 points in second place, two points behind Barcelona, the leader in the standings.
Rayo Vallecano instead raised the score to 21 points in eighth place.
Vicano advanced with a goal scored by Santi Comsania in the fifth minute, before Luka Modric equalized for Real Madrid from a penalty in the 37th minute.
In the 41st minute Eder Militao scored the second goal for Real, but Vallecano drew again with Alvaro Garcia in the 44th minute.
In the 67th minute, Oscar Trejo scored Vallecano’s third goal from a penalty.
