Only 10 luxury 1936 Hispano-Suiza J12 convertibles were produced. The elegant design of the car was developed by stylist Yakov Savchik from Ukraine.

Such a high price is due to the rarity of the model – only 120 luxurious Hispano-Suiza J12s were produced. Of these, only 10 received an elegant cabriolet body, created by Ukrainian-born designer Jacques Savchik.

Jacques or Yakov Savchik (real name Savchuk) left Ukraine for France with his parents as a child at the end of the 19th century. In 1905, 25-year-old Savchik, having changed his first and last name to the French style, founded a body shop in one of the suburbs of Paris.

Yakov Savchik created exclusive design bodies for individual orders. He worked with luxury models Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Delahaye, Talbot-Lago, Pegaso, and collaborated especially actively with Hispano-Suiza.

Although most of Savczyk’s creations were quite avant-garde and whimsical, the J12 convertible is distinguished by a sophisticated design with smooth body lines and an abundance of chrome. The interior is trimmed with leather and wood.
