The new week begins in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein with showers and thunderstorms. On Monday it will be cloudy to heavily overcast during the day, and in the evening there will be some heavy showers and thunderstorms, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Sunday. Sometimes there is also a gusty wind. The maximum temperatures are 23 degrees on the Elbe and around 20 degrees on Sylt. Temperatures will drop to between 12 and 15 degrees on Tuesday night. Thunderstorms and rain abate a little during the night.

According to the DWD, it will also rain on Tuesday, especially in the afternoon. In Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein it will remain changeable, with partly sun and partly heavy clouds. The temperatures are between 18 and 20 degrees with strong to stormy winds. There will be isolated showers on Wednesday night. Temperatures drop to 11 to 14 degrees overnight. (dpa/mp)
