Railway Bridge Blown Up in Samara Region, Ukraine Intelligence Reports Ammunition Transport Disrupted

In the Samara region of Russia in the morning, unknown persons blew up a support of a railway bridge. Ukrainian intelligence reports that this railway line was used to transport ammunition and the bridge cannot be used in the coming weeks.

Details: Telegram channels report that unknown persons blew up the support of the bridge over the Chapaevka River on the Zvezda – Chapaevsk section.

According to one of the Telegram channels, the sound of the explosion was heard around 6:15 am local time.

Train traffic on the bridge has been suspended. Four trains are currently delayed. The Zagorsk plan has been announced in the region. Special services are working on the spot.

One of the Telegram channels notes that the metal structures of the bridge are damaged.

Updated: RIA Novosti, citing a commentary from the Russian emergency services, confirms that the bridge support was blown up. The Kuibyshev Railways reported that five trains were delayed due to “illegal interference” in the operation of the railway.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the fact that the railway bridge was out of action. It is reported that at about 6:00 the bridge was damaged by undermining its power structures.

Literally power steering: “The railway line was used by the aggressor state to transport military cargo, in particular engineering ammunition produced by the Polymer JSC plant in the city of Chapaevsk, Samara Region. Considering the nature of the damage to the railway bridge, its use in the next few weeks is impossible.”
