– But a wild card – it’s obvious – you would surely get it. And what do you say? the journalist asked. – Hmm … (long pause) – Radwańska wondered, then replied. – First of all – Iga has a potential experienced doubles partner in the person of Magda Linette. Second – from what I hear, it is closer to games mixed with Łukasz Kubot. Third – there is absolutely no plan in my head to come back. No way, she honestly admitted Agnieszka Radwanska.
And she added: “I have been to the Olympics three times and three times, for various reasons, I did not succeed. Going again is not a satisfaction for me. A medal would be a satisfaction. If I had to consider such an idea at all, I would have to assess whether there is chance”.
– Would there be a chance for a medal? It might be, but in the best years of my career. Certainly not now. Although I think that with Iga on the court we could complement each other well. Each could have a role to play. Her playing strength plus my smarts … I wish I was ten years younger. Ha, ha, ha – admitted the 31-year-old smiling.
Radwańska has played at the Olympic Games three times in her career – in 2008 in Beijing, in 2012 in London, and also at the last Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
