R. Kelly has had to go to court in Cook County last week because of a hernia operation that had to be carried out urgently. The singer, who has to defend himself in Cook County against an indictment for sexual abuse, has been admitted to a hospital but is now in prison in Chicago again, reports TMZ Friday.
The lawyer of R. Kelly reported several health complaints in September that the 52-year-old singer would suffer and called for his release. In addition to an untreated hernia, R. Kelly would suffer from numbness in his hands and anxiety attacks.
R. Kelly is on trial in Cook County for sexual abuse. The singer is said to have forced a woman into oral sex in 2003.
The singer is also on trial in other cases. Among other things, he is said to have been guilty of deprivation of liberty and possession of child pornography.
