A funny situation happened to Queen Letizia during a reception for the diplomatic corps at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.
As Her Majesty and her husband His Majesty King Philip VI greeted the guests, a sapphire bracelet slipped from Laetitia’s hand. It unfastened and fell to the floor, the queen was not taken aback, she crouched down to pick it up. Then her husband Philip helped her fasten the bracelet back.

This evening, Queen Letizia shone in a dark blue taffeta floor-length dress with a full skirt and a belt at the waist. The Queen has previously worn this dress at the New Year’s military parade in 2022.
The queen completed her look with earrings and a necklace with sapphires and diamonds. This is the set that was given to her as a gift by her father-in-law, King Juan Carlos I, in honor of her engagement to his son Prince Felipe in 2003.
Sometimes embarrassing situations happen to the queen, for example, she once tripped on the red carpet and almost fell.
