Queen Letizia of Spain looked graceful in a blue dress at the ceremony to mark the birthday of her eldest daughter, Princess Leonor.
The Princess of Asturias celebrates her 18th birthday today. In the Parliament of Madrid, the girl took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution and can now officially serve as regent in the absence of her father, King Philip.
Queen Letizia, 51, wore a below-the-knee blue Carolina Herrera dress for her daughter’s big day, with a draped waist, ruffled hem, teardrop neckline and dramatic floral and stone appliqué on both shoulders. The Queen first wore this dress to the official welcoming ceremony of the kings during her state visit to Germany in October 2022.
She completed the look with nude heels and hoop earrings from Bvlgari, which were given to her for Leonor’s birth; she also tied her hair into a low bun and did expressive makeup.
Leonor’s younger sister, Infanta Sofia, chose a light dress with a floral print and a cape and black pointed ballet shoes.
