In the first image Elizabeth II can be seen sitting next to the Duke of Edinburgh as they both look at the greeting card they made for themselves, their great-grandchildren, Princes George, Charlotte, and Louis, on their 73rd wedding anniversary.
Another photo shows the iconic Round Tower at Windsor Castle, which was illuminated with blue light twice during the year as a token of appreciation to NHS staff for their work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The queen also chose for this count a photograph from Piccadilly Circus in London, where the sovereign can be seen giving a historic speech that she addressed to the nation and was broadcast on radio and television in April this year.
