Qualcomm Introduces Snapdragon X: A Game-Changing Breakthrough in Desktop and Laptop Processors

Qualcomm, the famous manufacturer of mobile device processors, has confirmed that its new products for desktop and laptop computers will come under the name Snapdragon X, which is expected to achieve a real breakthrough in the industry.

Qualcomm is working to enter the desktop processor industry, and in 2021 it already acquired the startup Nuvia, a company founded by former Apple engineers who worked on making the revolutionary M processors for MacBooks, a move that angered Apple.

Qualcomm announced via a blog on its official website that it has a new name for the next generation of processors for its personal computers, which is Snapdragon

The new processors were developed on a technology called Oryon CPU, which it benefited from through its acquisition of Nuvia, as previously mentioned.

It is expected that the Snapdragon

In addition to the strong performance of the processor, its biggest advantage was in the design, as it greatly helps in making very thin laptops, by providing appropriate performance with battery life, which is behind the success of MacBook Air devices in recent years.

Once Qualcomm finishes making processors, it will be a real advantage for Windows PC users, especially in the lightweight laptop industry.

Qualcomm’s completion of development of the Snapdragon

Apple had filed a lawsuit against Qualcomm’s acquisition of Nuvia and opposed the process on the grounds that the former engineers who founded the latter company were privy to “confidential data” for its processor industry during their work.

Although the laws recognize Nuvia, the acquisition move by Qualcomm appears to have angered Apple, prompting it to file the opposing lawsuit.

Although the court rejected Apple’s opposition last September, and issued a ruling allowing the completion of the deal, an appeal was filed by the company that owns the MacBook and iPhone devices, which is expected to be decided in the first three months of next 2024.
