QNAP TS-431KX with 10GbE SFP + presented

The Taiwanese company QNAP has now announced the TS-431KX, a NAS with a 10GbE-SFP + and two RJ45-GbE interfaces. The TS-431KX has a 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU (Alpine AL-214, 32-bit ARM) and users are able to populate the NAS with up to 8 GB of RAM. In addition, the new QNAP-NAS can accommodate a total of four 3.5-inch SATA disks (hot swappable), which can be operated in a RAID level 0, 1, 10 and JBOD. There are also three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports on the TS-431KX. The fan of the new NAS has a diameter of 120 mm and, according to the manufacturer, should ensure a noise level of 19.5 dB (A).

The TS-431KX can also use HBS (Hybrid Backup Sync). The new QNAP-NAS also supports LXC and Docker containers. The VJBOD functionality can be used to connect the TS-431KX to another NAS. The NAS requires 26.7 W in operation and 11.65 W when idle.

The new QNAP Turbo Station with 2 GB RAM is currently at the retailer Mindfactory available for around 420 euros. The delivery time is two days, according to the dealer.
