Goretzka and Bayern fans were angry after the Qatar World Cup ambassador made harsh remarks about LGBT people.
German midfielder and Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka was furious to hear comments from Qatar’s 2022 World Cup ambassador banning homosexuality.
Former Qatari international Khalid Salman called homosexuals “people whose minds are disturbed”. He also stated that LGBT people who go to Qatar must obey the rules of their country.
Homosexuality is illegal in the country hosting the World Cup because it is considered immoral under Islamic Sharia law.
