Qatar beat Jordan 3-1 this Saturday, at the Lusail stadium, in Doha, and won the Asian Cup title. This is the Qatari team’s second trophy in the competition, and the second in a row (the other was in the 2019 edition).

The first half was relatively balanced, but Qatar finished ahead. In the 22nd minute, the team’s number 10, midfielder Afif, converted the penalty kick.
This scene would be repeated two more times in the second half. Afif took advantage of all three penalties for Qatar, and he conceded two of them. Jordan’s goal of honor came from center forward Al-Naimat.

Afif finished as the top scorer in the Asian Cup, scoring eight goals. He was the best player in the competition.
The Jordan team ended in defeat in the final, but this was their best campaign in the history of the Asian Cup. The team had never made it past the quarterfinals of the tournament.
